Privately Guided Safaris
My safaris is a stage - the platform to design your dream journey within
a wilderness environment. Choice abounds - from epic, scenic photographic
safaris to romantic, exclusive private escapes into the wilderness.
Intense, life-altering survival experiences or walking trails with starry-night
sleep-outs in pristine, untouched riverene areas. Unique children and
family getways into 'child-friendly' environments where my focus is
'the child'. Luxurious and opulent if you choose or simple and rustic
if you so desire. From Big 5 encounters on foot, to laid-back sundowners
on rocky outcrops overlooking the escarpment as the circle of light
bades goodnight. The options are endless, exciting and exhilarating.
I will be your guide, host and chef if you wish. A voice-piece where
need be for important decisions and guest liason, an ambassador for
my country but most importantly I will show you the bush through my
eyes. We may start out as names but we will depart as friends.

The Exploration Safari concept is a wildlife enthusiast's dream come true. It's a hands-on safari experience that gives one the opportunity to spend real quality time in the African bush with a specialist guide.
For those who want to learn and understand more about the bush, this is an adventure that affords one the time and the space to explore a range of topics about animals, birds, insects and plants in depth. But it does so in an informal, inspirational way, by allowing you to learn whilst walking, touching, seeing and hearing everything around you.
Experiences on this safari are numerous and profound. Whether it be trailing big game on foot, lying down with giraffe, sleeping out at night under the stars, learning how to track animals, recognising and photographing birds, or understanding the ecology of an area.
Exploration Safaris is a very personal encounter - group size is limited to 8 persons per safari, however can be customized to suit smaller groups should this be preferred.
Set in beautiful surroundings, Exploration Safaris is based in the Klaserie Game Reserve adjacent to the Kruger National Park. Unlike most other safaris, you will not have to transfer from camp to camp. Exploration Safaris is based in one permanent camp, so from the first day to the last you can relax and focus on the sights and experiences that are literally on your doorstep, without wasting time and energy travelling from one place to another.
The chosen camp is called Nyeleti. 5 Individual, thatched sleeping units, each with twin beds and private en-suite facilities lie within a beautiful lush garden. The camp is fully catered with all meals and selected beverages provided.
For those of you who have been on safari before and been disappointed in the quality or consistency of the guiding you have experienced, this safari will be different. The professional safari guides facilitating this concept are amongst the most experienced and knowledgeable in their profession.
My wish is to promote an experience that is lasting and irreversible in the lives of those who participate in the Exploration Safari adventures. If this trip is your first to South Africa my hope and intention is that it won't be your last.
